DANCE

Photographing the art of dance has always been a challenge for me on multiple levels. In the past ten years of socializing with dance through the lens, I have learnt a lot about photography in impossible conditions at the limit of physical endurance, about pushing camera settings to the limit of usability, but the end result and the dancers’ satisfaction with it has brought me back to the dance floor time and time again. It could be said that dance photography is the ultimate test of discipline, patience, intuition and reflexes. A kind of photographic-dance meditation, which materialises in the form of a photo! A tango between photographer and dancer!
